Plastic Waste Pollution Dangerous Than HIV-Aids – Mr Quartz – African Entertainment

 

 

As part of Global citizen festival to marked the 65th independence anniversary commemoration, a clean up exercise was organised in collaboration with the plastic punch and other local CSOs and volunteer organizations in Ghana.

Speaking at the sideline of the exercise, the Executive Director of Plastic Punch, Mr Richmond Kennedy Quarcoo, said the collabo with Global Citizen is to organizing a beach clean up exercise to raise awareness about importance of protecting the environment including climate justice for loss and damage, plastic pollution and its effects on marine life and ocean conservation towards the sustainable development goals.

According to him, in the olding days when people use to go market with their basket to buy food stuffs must have attitude change in all well Ghanaian beings.

He was optimistic that in a collective efforts we can change our lifestyle and culture of living in our environment.

The plastic toxic chemicals are more damagable than even HIV the killer disease.

“Let’s do away with plastic wrap and its effects on marine sites”he lamented.

Mr Quarco appealed to government and especially the EPA to at a matter of urgency enforced by law to avoid the menace.

He said cleanliness is Godliness and need to learn how to protect ourselves from this killer disease.
